Reschke is committed to producing superior wines from meticulously managed vineyards in the heart of the Coonawarra. Optimal vineyard soils comprised of thin layers of rich red loams over ancient limestone provide the bare requirement for growth without indulging the grapevine’s natural tendency for vigour. Hungry soils combined with rigorous hand pruning restrict yields to ensure richly flavoured fruit.
Tasting Note: Harvested when the berry characters were dominant and with little or no reliance on sugar. We have a wine with a richly textured mid palate, with a nice savoury finish. Yeast characters are well balanced with the lovely floral fruit aromas. Richness is achieved without the use of residual sugar. It will be at its best when consumed, slightly chilled and while young and fresh. A great alfresco, summer wine.
